Friggin' thieves at the pool...

Had my 120 dollar Oakley's in my TYR goggle case stolen from my backpack while I was taking a shower tonight. The pool manager is going to check his camera DVR for the lobby and entryway to see if the crook was dumb enough to walk out with them exposed. God this makes me mad. The only positive thing about this is that I did not catch the guy in the act...I might be in the pokey right about now. You are all probably much wiser than me, since most of you are older( I'm 31) :p, but you've got to keep your stuff locked up ALL the time. Too lazy to earn something themselves so they take it from somebody else...wastes of precious oxygen IMHO. Sorry for the rant but I just had to vent some frustratrion.

Glad to read that your sunglasses came walking back into the Y. I must be living right as I have never had anything stolen in all the years I have been swimming. I have left a bunch of suits, bags, goggles, electronics etc at pools over the years and most of them came back to me or were right where I had left them the next day. Maybe I have just been lucky but I like to think that most swimmers are honest. Most of the people who frequent our pools are lap swimmers with very few transients so that is an advantage. I never use a locker and just put my street clothes in my bag while I swim. It sure is good to live in the south where people always are honest. After writing this I will probably have my car stolen when I swim tomorrow along with my pants so I can call the police while wearing my suit. Have a great day Paul
