Had my 120 dollar Oakley's in my TYR goggle case stolen from my backpack while I was taking a shower tonight. The pool manager is going to check his camera DVR for the lobby and entryway to see if the crook was dumb enough to walk out with them exposed. God this makes me mad. The only positive thing about this is that I did not catch the guy in the act...I might be in the pokey right about now. You are all probably much wiser than me, since most of you are older( I'm 31) :p, but you've got to keep your stuff locked up ALL the time. Too lazy to earn something themselves so they take it from somebody else...wastes of precious oxygen IMHO.
Sorry for the rant but I just had to vent some frustratrion.

Last night at about 10:00 PM the pool manager calls me on my cell and tells me he has good news...somebody turned the case and glasses in sometimes yesterday afternoon. The only thing I can think of is that the thief was still in the locker room when I discovered what was missing and heard me vocalizing my frustrations. Perhaps he saw me filing a report at the front desk and realized that it was not going to be forgotten. The more I think about the whole thing, the more I think I know who did it. There was a young adult, 18-22, watching me put my glasses away into my bag as I prepared to swim. He wound up getting out of the pool about the same time I did and was in the locker room when I was. The place was pretty dead so aside from he and I, there were maybe two others in the lockers...the others were in their 50's and 60's. In hindsight, I should have checked all of the corners of the locker room (it has about 4 different areas seperated by rows of lockers) and asked people if they saw anything. Oh well, a lesson has been learned and I just won't give anybody the opportunity to steal so easily again. Thanks for all the replies by the way. For those unaware of what "Oakley's" are, I am including a photo of the ones I lost and found.
