OK, OK, so this isn't really a swimming topic...
...sorry...
...did anyone who watched American Idol last night notice David Hasselhoff in the audience toward the end of the show, with tears in his eyes, looking strangely like Sophia Loren?
(Was it just my imagination?)
...aw ::SNAP:: they just showed it on the Today Show. (haha laugh-laugh)

He did well enough that he was invited to be on the Ultimate Tournament of Champions thing they did last year. He did really well there, too, making it to the quarter finals and winning somewhere around $70K all told.
If I ever make it on I'll do my best to give a plug for Masters swimming :)
Yep, I made enough to pay for my plane ticket, hotel room, and wardrobe (Jeopardy does not pay contestants' expenses!), and after taxes had a little left over (had to pay taxes on the trip too). Of course, it wasn't about the money. I just wanted to prove to myself I could do it, and try not to make a fool of myself on national TV. I did manage to get in a plug for Masters swimming during the first interview segment, although they edited a fair amount of what I said.
