You know you're a swimmer when ...... You think any pool without lines on the bottom and T's at the end is completely WORTHLESS. AND The hum of the huge pool pump puts you to sleep while lying on the pool deck pre/ post practice.

I used to enjoy any sort of swimming pool regardless of lane lines, ropes, or otherwise but now a pool without lanes lines, ropes, and a good gutter system seems like a waste of time to me. When we go to the pool club for the kids I eagerly await the top of the hour because they give a 15 minute window for lap swimming. The pool has no gutters, no ropes, and is shorter than 25Y but it is such a nice break from the screaming kids during the balance of the hour.
