You know you're a swimmer when

When you find the smell of chlorine comforting. You think every pool should be of rectangular shape and have lane lines...none of this fancy Mirage Hotel waterfall crap. You have Speedo's website on your list of favorites in your intenet browser. You look forward to fridays because of the GoSwim.TV Drill of the Week being posted. You know what USMS means. You enjoy watching swimming DVD's such as the Kaitlin Sandeno and Erik Vendt put out by GoSwim. You have the "Duel in the Pool" protected on your DVR/Tivo. You are even remotely familiar with the controversy surrounding TI. You know what swim golf is. You are familiar with the Good and Evil Smiths, Gull, and Geek. Lastly, you know you are a swimmer when you envy the toys that noodlists get to use.

You know you're a swimmer when you can skip showering because you are going to the pool for a swim.

"When you find the smell of chlorine comforting." I told my wife this once and she thought I was mad. Also: When the hairdresser keeps trying to sell you moisture control products for dryness. When there is always a damp smell in your car. When you use noodles as wips and swords instead of flotation devices. :D

Hi All: I definitely know I’m a swimmer (and have an aquaphilic personality to boot) and this strange, but true strory proves it beyond doubt. I usually drink a glass of water right before I go to bed. However, sometimes I don’t have a drink and guess what I dream about? It’s either about swimming, playing water polo, or taking a bubble bath!!! Happy Swimming! Dolphin 2 :D

When the thought of swimming in a gutterless (old school) pool makes you cringe. It's like open water swimming after a lap or two.

When you need to run your cars heater on the way to your unheated (is that a word?) outdoor pool practice.:)

that you can make an argument that "some guys look awesome in speedos" (your non-swimming friends think you are mental!!) you know what hypoxic means... you would rather wear a swimsuit than formal attire...

You know you are a swimmer when you dream about diving in the 50m pool and dont hit the water until just before the turn.

When your 40 and your hair is still shiny.. When you have more towels than bed sheets... When you hear the word speedo and think of swimming ..not a car... When you hear the word arena and think of swimming...

When you have different goggles for practice, racing, swimming indoors, swimming outdoors...
