That's incorrect. BALCO sold performancing enhancing (and banned) drugs like anabolic steroids and growth hormone. Some, like "the clear," were undetectable but still on the banned list. Interestingly, back in the 80s he sold (legal) nutritional supplements to athletes. Check out the following:
