I think I found the best music for long distance swimming-probably best for a long Ocean Swim........... "Dub Side Of The Moon" by the Easy Star All Stars.
It's an awesome remake of Pink Floyd's Dark Side of The Moon by Reggae Artists. They plan to cut a remake of Radiohead also.

Yes I thought about leaving other as an option, unfortunately it was after I submitted the poll and 2 martinis later.
There were too many genres too list in the 10 item limit.
I met Brian Goodel when I was younger(probably all of 30 seconds- seemed like an hour to me as a kid ) and heard about the "Radar Love" connection to his 500 swim goal time. I used to play the song through my head in workout after that.
String Cheese Incident I would imagine would probably be good for Open water.
