On the subject of which type of suit to wear for various strokes, I just ran across this link regarding the efficacy of the new suits and materials: www-rohan.sdsu.edu/.../table.htm It seems that others are echoing my opinion that swimming is now becoming a “mechanized” sport rather than an athletic activity. As I’ve stated in my previous post on this thread, the traditional brief or “racer” is the best suit for anything in the water. Looking back to the old days on my high school swim team, I always remember that the real advantage was being able get to the pool on a regular basis and accumulate as many laps as possible.
