It is known that chlorine is toxic. However, there seems to be not much research done on the correlation between swimming and cancer.
Anyone has any thoughts about it?

Caution: No one gets out of this alive. If you swim outdoors and not in the pre-dawn or post-dusk hours, use a waterproof SPF 30+ sunscreen or wear a UV rated rash-guard as the sun is a much more dangerous object than chlorine. If you're worried about chlorine exposure don't swim . . . if you look for trouble, you can always find it.
