I just started swimming at the begning of the month.
I'm now going 6 times a week. But my perants say this is to much and i'm going to tier myself out.
Forcanatly i turned 18 in augest so i don't have to do what they say.
So is 6 times a week to much.... and over x-mass i want to increse this to 20 hours a week so 10 or 12 times a week is this 2 much??
P.s. sorry about the spelling
It really depends on you, whether you take a break., You are young and can probably handle some overload. And taking a day off on Sunday's helps recover. For me, that lead feeling in my muscles means I am over due for a longer break, but I am old-44, so age plays a big part. You can just try it, see how you feel, backing off some is always an option, or you may just feel better and better and in greater shape!
The Doc ses its fine. as soon as i can run 3 miles i can go back to ju-jitsu. As swimming is alot safer than ju-jitsu it's definatly ok.
About the lead muscles. Is i was thinking of just carrying on. I figered i was just being a wimp slowing down just cause my muscles were tierd. Is that a bad idea??
And i am taking a day off. on sunday the pool is full ok little kids to much effort avoiding them
Since you mentioned in another post that you are recovering from back surgery, what does your doctor say. If your doc says it is OK, then it probably is.
Some signs it is too much is a feeling of lead in your muscles, overall tiredness. Make sure you are taking at least one full rest day a week, and if you are feeling worn down, take two.
