I usually wear sweeds and they are great becasue I go through goggles rather quickly and they are nice because they are inexpensive, but as my highschool swim season has just begun I find my goggles falling off my face as I dive. I have been swimming for aobut 6 years and am terrible at diving, but have usually managed to keep my goggles on while I swim. Any ideas for a good pair of goggles...or possibly improving the dive? I cant have them fall off or leak because I wear contacts and swim the 500 and am afraid I might lose a contact and I dont want to have to stop swimming in the middle (how embarassing).

Speedo Speed Sockets are good. They really fit your eye and tend, at least for me, to stay tighter than my other goggles. You may want to check your head position when you dive too. That's generally while goggles come off. Ask your coach to watch your start sometime and ask for pointers.
I have had good luck with the mirrored Sengar Speedo in competition but I normally use Speedo Vanquishers for practice. I recently picked up some Speedo Speed Sockets and I plan to try them at my next meet.

Are you going to try them in practice first?

Oh yeah! I thought about that bit of confusion after I hit the submit button. I have already used them a time or two but for some reason I like the Vanquishers in practice. They are just so comfortable to wear.
A polyester training suit and a pair of Speedo Vanquishers is an incredibly durable training setup. You won't have to replace either of them for a long time. The silicone strap and gasket is so much more durable than the rubber and foam that used to be the norm. I'm sure the Swede's hold up pretty well, too, but I never liked them.

Geek, you may want to add some prescription lenses so you don't lose sight of me in the 500.
That's comical, comical like you having a pigeon as your avatar. Pigeons have bad eyesight, I am told, and are afraid of water.

I have recently purchased a pair of TYR Vision goggles. They are very nice. I highly recommend them.

I may need to clairfy that the sweeds dont wear out that quickly i have a tendency to lose them, lol,i think the pair i have had the longest hangs form my rear view mirror (and are so damaged from the sun and such that they cant be used) I just have a tendency to lose them or they get stolen, that kind of thing which is why i like them because they are so in expensive
