Question does any one feel the differance ,when switching from 25 yards or 25 meters , to 50 meters. do you get tired,or do you swim slower? Can you swim as far as you would in a 25 yard or meter pool , as you do in a 50 meter pool?:) :)

I just switched from the indoor 25 yd pool to the 50 meter outdoor pool (with a 3 week layoff). I've found that 50 meters is a little longer than 50 yards (because there's no turn) so your times may be a little slower as you're going a longer distance. You should do the conversion from yards to meters to try to get the same workout. I do about 1000 yards indoors and find that about 850-900 meters comes out about the same. My times for matching swims vary by about 10 seconds over 100 meters (longer) than the yards (shorter).
