I don't mean 'smell blood' figuratively.
When I do hard sprints, after a few of them, I can smell blood when I exhale.
Not rally strong smell, but enough to notice, and know what it is.
Anyone else gets this?

I've experienced that.
Anyone else sneeze when they go out in the sun?

No smelling blood after a hard sprint, but I do feel like vomiting, especially if I had a peanut butter sandwich beforehand.
No sneezing in the sun, but I knew someone who did.
But I do cough when I eat apples. Weird, huh?

Sometimes I smell dirt. Or this really nasty smell I can't really describe. The closest thing I can think of is rotting plastic. Nasty.

p.s. I cough when I eat really cold things, like ice cream.
I've smelled alcohol, which I have told my friends is a byproduct of anaerobic respiration (the Krebs cycle?) They don't believe me, but I am convinced this is true.
The only time I smell blood is when I get punched in the nose, which, thankfully, hasn't happened for a while. But I wonder if the exertion of very hard exercise is causing capillaries to burst in your nasal passages?
Very interesting phenomenon. Any exercise physiologists out there to comment on it?

Not blood, but I can taste ammonia! THis isn't normally when swimming, it's when cycling.

The only thing I liked to smell after a race was the money after I cashed the check. A bank manager in Quebec took me aside after winning a race and took me to the Bank after hours to cash my check. He told me there was only enough money in the race's official bank account to pay out 2 of the swimmers. I was lucky and 4 other guys not too lucky.

Weird - I smell ammonia after a run - but not a swim. A hot shower takes care of it though. It's like my sweat smells that way. Swimming - no sweat!
