Try using a nose plug, at least for part of your practice. I started using one just to swim backstroke and stay underwater on the turns longer. I noticed that I wasn't so stuffed up after my practices anymore, I guess not having the nasal flush every swim was beneficial to my nasal passages.

Yes, I have found that a noseclip during backstroke helps a lot; no more sneezing all night. And it helps me do really long underwater dolphin kicks in backstroke.
