I know going into every workout that the first 1800 yards are going to be torture for me. My lungs feel like they're going to explode, my joints feel stiff and concrete and the water seems as thick as honey. But I also know that once I reach 1800-2000 yards I'll find my ryhthm and everything will fall into place. Where is that at which you feel at one in the water?

My guess is that the endorphins have been released by that time and it puts a smile on my face and a buzz in my head.:D It's not the endorphins, it's the lack of oxygen. Pick your head up, you're drowning!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D Actually, I know exactly what you mean. The first 1k yards I'm definately not happy about being in the pool. But I know it'll all get better in another 800-1k.
