Evaluating a SCY Season

What are the fundamental tools that successful teams use to evaluate their season? I am a lane coach for a large masters team (roughly 100 members). This past season, our team leadership spent a lot of time revamping the organization, and now that our SCY season is over, we are looking for tools to evaluate our team's effectiveness. Does anybody have ideas, strategies, tools, or resources they can suggest? In general, we're interested in evaluating our coaching methods and team management so that our team can continue to grow and thrive.

Another way to judge is to look at how successful your team was at state. You have to remember though that here in Illinois only about 1/3 of our membership participated. Also, how many of your team members showed up for practice on a regular basis? How many stayed with the team throughout the season? Did a substantial number of people leave the team during the season? did many swimmers participate in meets throughtout the area or participate in postal swims? Another way to look at your success is to determine if any groups formed.
