Does EVERYONE come out of the pool with deep goggle impressions around their eyes? I'm 51 y/o and don't need extra bags or creases! The goggle marks diminish eventually, of course, but stay fairly noticeable for hours. I have to strap them on tight to keep water out and fog. Anyone have the perfect goggles to recommend? Or this is just par for the course?
Laura
I also use the speedo women's vanquisher and they are pretty good...
I did notice somthing though. Initially I used to press pretty hard on the goggles for a good tight suction so that there was no leek and even with the vanquishers would get a pretty good goggle mark that lasted for awhile.
However...... one magical day I didn't press as hard on the goggles because I was rushing before the next set started and lo and behold!!! they didn't leak, but they felt MUCH more comfortable around my eye. I kept that same amount of pressure for the rest of practice and received hardly any eye marks!
I will say though that it is not easy finding the happy medium with the amount of pressure placed on the goggles. too little and they start to leak, too much and good ole goggle eyes...though I do think that some types of goggles do this more than others..
Also, depending on your eye shape, you may need to try a few before you can find whatever fits your eye with less needed suction for a more comforable fit.
hope this helps..
