Hi everyone!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Elaine, great to see you on here. I am fully vaccinated. I was one of the first in line due to my job as a funeral director. I remember our visit in Atlanta and catching up with you. Hopefully we will alll see each other again sometime in the near future.
Hello Allen, we were back to swimming again, but we are closing up for a few weeks until Clackamas County's covid + numbers come back down. I coach MWFSa and pool swim Tu/Thu. MWF I get to swim in an Endless Pool. Life is good.
I'm glad you are doing well, Tim! I hope to see you again, too, sometime!
Are you inserting it via the "insert" tab? If you are, try just ctrl+c, ctrl+v copy/pasting it straight into the text box.
ForceDJ what is harder to get to now? The Community platform, a specific group, or this specific forum? Can you help provide some context so we can understand where the issue might be?
Well for me it is/was simplicity of getting to the “General” forum...where I think most of the discussion happened/happens. Previously the forum was just one click away from just about any other website. Now it’s 3-5 clicks away. And the order that the responses are in is confusing. The thread title will ‘indicate’ that there is a new response...but then when you click to it...the new response isn’t always at the end of the thread. It’s like a new sub-thread or something...and clicking on the thread title doesn’t take you directly to the response. If there are multiple responses...one might be a sub-thread response-to-a-response, and the other might be a completely new response to the main discussion. But it doesn’t appear to tell you that there are multiple responses, and sub-responses. All that being said...I don’t believe I’m the only one experiencing this. There just seems (to me) to be much less overall discussion the in General forum. Are the new forums’ format squashing discussion and driving folks away?
Dan
I agree with you, Dan. You explained it well, and I have experienced the same issues. To me, the forums have become unnecessarily more complicated to navigate. I really liked the simplicity of the previous forums. I have spent a lot of time on here (including during the beta testing), and I still don't feel comfortable with the new format. There was zero learning curve with the former format.
The thing I dislike the most with these forums is exactly what you explained above.
