I just got my new Swimming World and it said that FINA was looking at allowing a dolphin kick in the breaststroke pullout. Does anyone know the status of this?

Phil,
Do you think the backstroke turn rule is a good and/or fair one? Should it be eliminated? Should it be reworded? If nationalities can't even agree on its interpretation, doesn't that tell FINA something!
Just curious. (And you are definitely entitled to your opinion :p )
I honestly think that the backstroke turn rule is so messed up, that it will keep raising anger and controversy for as long as it exists.I think the easiest way would be to let swimmers take one stroke of crawl at the end and put an end to it.Even with that change we won't see much gliding because you would go slower just gliding and not pulling as turning....It can be so simple, why can't FINA do it?
