I realize this has little to do with swimming but I thought some of the people on this board might have tried this. I know it would be much slower but I don't want to buy a USB card for a PC that will be replaced within a year.

yes it works fine, just a little slow. When is Apple going to create a "Swimming Ipod"? The Shuffle model would be an excellent protoype for a waterproof mp3 player that is practical.

Yep, it works fine, it's exactly what I have on my computer at home and my computer works fine with it!

The shuffle type would be perfect because of the size, but now they do have one for the mini ipod (www.h2oaudio.com/.../iminisv.php) though I think it's terribly bulky to be practical while swimming...
