Hi Gang Good news is that I continue to make progress in my swimming but the bad news is I have a sinus infection and bronchitis. My doctor reviewed my file and looked at today's blood pressure and said "I took your BP the last time you were here (December 04) and it was 150 over 90. Today it's great! 120 over 74! I hate to tell you to not swim but you need to stay out of the water until the cough clears up." 120 over 74! I have not had that kind of numbers for about 40 lbs! I was delighted! What a difference it makes! Just had to share.

As you have discovered exercise will improve a varity of maladies. Weight, blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol levels to name a few all can be improved with proper exercise and diet. Keep up the good work improving your health and remember to keep your doctor in the loop so that he can evaluate your health on a regular basis before a condition becomes life threating. Last one in the pool is the ultimate winner. Have a great day Paul

Thought I'd share, too - Last week I was at 1800 meters 3x/week. Had been for a while. Decided I really wanted to "kick it up a notch," and pulled off the workouts from swim2000.com. The "beginner" workout was 3200 yards. Monday I managed to get through 2500 of them, yesterday I got through 3100 (couldn't finish the pull set - cramp in the bicep). I'm very thrilled with myself, but I feel like I've been hit by a Mack truck this morning. Friday I'll try finishing the whole thing. Kae
