Michael Phelps said he is looking to swim some new events, but is being very secrative about it. Anyone want to throw out a guess as to what those events are? I would consider the following "his" events: 200 free, 200 IM, 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 fly, 200 back, and maybe the 100 free.
My guess is the 400 free and maybe the 50 free or 100 back. I can't see him becoming a breaststroker. So that leaves the shorter back race and free.
Anyone else?

When entering a LCM meet they usually have qualifying times for a 400 fr LCM and an equivalent time for a 500 SCY. Think about it this way, when you swim SC you swim the 500 when you swim LC you swim a 400. Phelps isn't sandbagging, he is entering his 500 time because that is the time you use when entering a LCM meet with a SCY time. Look at psyche sheet again and you'll notice he's about 10 seconds ahead of the next guy using a SCY time. His time is less than 4 seconds off of Dolan's record, which is going to be a tough one to beat.
