Skip, just because the meet is called “2005 American Short Course Championships” does not make it a USA-S national event. The event is a sanctioned event of the South Texas LSC. It is not recognized as a USA-Swimming championship event.
The meet advertises that time can be used for swimmers attempting to make NCAA cuts, so you may see some college swimmers trying to make NCAA cuts. I’m interested to see what kind of turn out the meet has, since it is going up against the USA Swimming Sectionals at Texas A&M, on the same weekend.
