I am working out in a pool that does not have blocks, so obviously I time myslef from a push start.My question is:what should I expect my times to be if I start from blocks vs. push off the wall, what is the time difference between the two?

So in that case I was wondering:my time for 50 meters short-course is 29 sec from a push-off(unshaved, untapered), what could I expect to see at a competition with a block start(provided I practice it of course), tapered, shaved and feeling good ?:-)
I never competed so I am really curious if I am ready to look "presentable" at a competition(I have been swimming since AUG,2004) and what I can hope for ...
