I figured for sure that somebody would have posted about him. Anyhow, it is a pretty sad set of circumstances for this poor guy. He has his whole life ahead of him, with or without swimming, and now because of a snowboarding accident he may never walk or kick again.

I guess I will be the contrary opinion......:eek:
I have been skiing for 25 years. Only had one small injury - a slight tear of the meniscus in a knee (don't even remember for sure which knee it was anymore). It was about 8 years ago and I was skiing again in a week.
Yes, their are risks associated with the sport - as there is with many things. But I get an incredible feeling of weightlessness when I ski. The risks are well worth the joy in my book. It's actually addicting..... kind of like another sport I know.:D
