I am new to this site, and wanted to see what speeds everyone is here. I generally find myself in the fast lane at Masters practices, but I wonder if I'm swimming with people who are not that fast! Generally, I do a set of 10x100 (for example) on 1:20. I usually get 3-5 seconds rest doing those. I haven't competed in any Masters meets yet, but would like to this winter. My time for the 1000 (swimming it during practice, all out) right now is 13:36. Oh, I am female, 29 years old. I am glad to be back in the water after being out for about 4 years during grad school. But boy, do I feel slow!!

I am also 29, female and hold about the same for 10X100's. I don't know if that makes either of us fast!! I used to be able to hold 1:03-1:05 for a set of 20-30 100's........but, that was way too long ago. I think holding 1:10-1:15 per 100 is a really good start!!!
