Gary is a business man as well as an athlete. He knew exactly what he was doing with that Everlast robe on. It's called product endorsement, even if it was done in a subtle manner. His circus act is the perfect venue to gather attention. It's a safe bet that the Everlast people chuckled at the thought of a mere $5,000 fine for a world wide advertisement. If you really think about it, an average commercial spot during the Super Bowl is in the million dollar range. This had to of been a very unique opportunity to shill their stuff. Just another perspective on what he may have been up to.
