How about those USA Woman who just smashed the longest standing WR by 2.05 seconds for the Gold Medal. The old record was set by the East Germans on 18 Aug. 1987 at their Olympic trials.
I am so proud of these USA Swimmers.....Look up the splits...they are off the chart! And....my great friend Les Vollmer's daughter Dana swam in the third slot. This was one of the most beautiful swims I have ever watched! Natalie Coughlin lead it off to one heck of a start....and Kaitlin Sandeno and Carly Piper had GREAT SWIMS AS WELL...ALL UNDER 2:00!
