OK,not at the same time but how much do you drink each week/day and how does it affect your swimming/times.I have recently cut down from moderate amounts each day to only moderate amounts at the weekend and also managed to cut my 1500m swim by 1 minute!!!!!
I imagine that unless the alcohol is affecting your training (e.g., missing workouts in the morning from begin hungover), the only benefit you'll get from cutting back on alcohol is from the weight you'll lose.
Personally, I drink moderately--usually a beer a day, occasionally more--but haven't changed my alcohol consumption much so can't say with certainty whether it affects my swimming.
