My dog ate it...

Snowball, the fuzzy wonder, is the latest addition to the family. In true puppy dog fashion, he's teething and pretty much chewing everything he can get his little paws on. We've learned to just keep doors closed so that he doesn't get into bedrooms, closets, etc. without someone with him. Went for a swim last night and left my gym bag in the bathroom... forgot to close the door, and a fuzzy someone went looking for treasures. I went to hunt him down, and he has something large and white in his mouth... my favorite latex swim cap. (Got sort of a tie-dye thing going.) Seems to be that the combination of stretchy, rubbery, and noisy (when you chew it) is quite the thing when having a chew toy. He didn't even have the decency to look guilty! When I finally got it away from him (after chasing him around the house and wrestling him out from under the bed) it was too late... had a few too many holes to be all that useful. So anyone else lose swim gear to pets?

  • No pets have destroyed my equipment...yet. Years ago when I decided to return to the water I purchased (what I thought was) a pretty cool new pull bouy. It lay in the back seat of my car for a few days before I had the opportunity to try it out. While hauling a friends little boy around in the car, I noticed that he was very quiet. When I turned around to have a look, there he sat with a mouth full of foam and about 10 bites of pull bouy all over the seat of the car. I couldn't help but yell, "Do you know where that's been!" The good thing is it is easy to spot my bouy when it gets tossed in the pile with all the other blue and white striped bouys.
