I can't swim, but since i have joints problem, swimming is the perfect exercise I have to do.
Since two weeks ago I took a swimming course, it's been 3 times I practice. But, still I can't understand the techniques and breathing.
The instructor teachs me freestyle and frogsytle (the spreading legs and kicking out, I dont know the term in English.)
Please, explain to me how to float. And the synchronisation of hands stroke and breathing in frogstyle, and handstroke and legs in freestyle (because i always forget to paddle my legs while handstroke.)

My best advice is to pick up Total Immersian by Terry Laughlin. Itg is hands down the best book on teaching the freestyle.
