I have read how several members on this board swear by the Barracuda goggles, and would like to know which model you use for which type of swimming. I want a pair that, ideally, I could use for both my hour and a half swim sessions, as well as for racing. However, if one style is better for the one activity over the other, please tell me which you use.
Thanks.

Oh, not much. It's just that the C in YMCA stands for "Cheats."
I reported a while back that I found a new pool, another YMCA. What I didn't realize was that the normal temperature for the pool is 86-88 degrees. I asked about changing it and was not surprised to have them tell me that they can't change the temperature for one person, and that everyone else likes it that hot. Okay, I expected that, so I tried to change my workout to accommodate the temperature. I finally decided it was crazy, found ANOTHER pool, and quit my YMCA membership last week.
But when I quit, I had already paid through March 15, but they told me they didn't have enough time to get my credit card information out of their system before charging me for an additional month. So my membership would run through April 15. I told them I didn't WANT my membership to run through April 15. They basically said that's too bad, they didn't have time to get it out of the system, so they were going to charge me for it whether I use the facility or not. When I suggested that they just credit my account back for the charge like any reasonable business, they said their policy prevents them from giving "refunds" on membership dues.
I ended up talking to the woman who runs the place, and she was absolutely no help. She kept saying is "It's our policy." I am soooo sick of idiot bureaucrats in general in this god-forsaken city who hide behind their rules and regulations and think that if they have some policy written down that it is inviolable. I talked to her for over an hour trying to find some way to work it out, and it was like talking to a parrot. At one point she even criticized my morals for wanting "special treatment" from their policy of charging people for memberships they aren't using.
I am disputing the charge with my credit card company. I wish there were more that I could do. Punishment is in order. Yet my hands are tied.
I know one thing. I will NEVER have a membership at a YMCA again. The organization is run by thieves and liars, the scum of the earth pretending to be operating under Christian values. And if any opportunity ever presents itself to embarrass that organization or harm it in any legal way, you can bet I will do it.
I'll probably never have the chance, so they don't care that they have made an enemy.
So that is why my signature says...
