I am curious to what your preferences are regarding Speedo or TYR products (or other). I myself am a Speedo girl, and always have been. However, I recently bought a discounted TYR reversible suit for practice and it lasted way longer than any Speedo ever has. I'm tempted to buy TYR again, but do I dare switch loyalties? I like Speedo styles better - I've never been big on brand names at all, except when it comes to swimming - there's just something about Speedo.

TYR and Speedo are good brands. When I shop for suits I usually check out www.kiefer.com they carry most nop brands, and have good stuff themselves.
I get most of my stuff -- except suits -- from keifer. They seem to have all the accessories at the best price: fins, buoys, PRESCRIPTION GOGGLES, etc.
But for suits I go for whatever is cheaper, and my experience for best prices has been "grab bag" suits from The Finals. (Under $10 per suit for mens in quantities of 3 or more.)
Having said that, I should qualify that my use of suits may not be as critically precise as some of the more serious swimmers here. I do some masters meets, but I'm rarely a top-heat qualifier, so absolute performance from my suit is not that critical.
