Actually, anchovies are much better on italian bread with some butter and capers and a tomato salad and olive oil than on Pizza. Hey, what can I say, I grew up on mediterranean, I used to catch and prepare my own fish. That was the purpose for swimming and diving (snorkeling), to catch dinner. Then as the sun goes down, you round up some lime rock and some dried twigs and make a BBQ. I liked the fact that so much of the coast 'back home' has not been commercialized. You could just wander off, and be with nature. For you that can'trelate, hawaii reminds me a little bit of where I grew up, just not as tropical. Less sand more lime-rock. Summers get just as hot, but not rainy. oh, here, I found some pics of where I learned to swim :) www.sanko.hr/holiday.html http://www.sanko.hr/zv08.jpg http://www.sanko.hr/zv04.jpg in this picture, about the middle, thereis a little reef/island maybe 1/4 mile across, and about 2-3 miles out from the shore. As I kid, I was always wanting to swim out to it. I might do it yet when I go there for a visit. uh, oh, I digressed... I hope you guys don't mind too much.

How about an ice cream sundae from Friendly's, made with Forbidden Chocolate ice cream and hot fudge and topped with whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles and a cherry? Did anyone say chocoholic here? And Mark's on target with pizza, too, but not with anchovies. :p Again, Happy Holidays!

For me it has to be authentic fresh Mexican food. Although, good Mex is hard to find in most parts. While outside of Texas, it has to be fresh bagels with veggie spread (I am a big time carnivore, but that veggie spread is good). I went to school in Ann Arbor via South Texas and had never seen snow much less tasted or smelled fresh bagels. A nice hot bagel and strong cup of joe really hit the spot on those frigid winter mornings. Hook'em Blue

You mean there no real Mexican food in California or Arizona or New Mexico. New Mexico has the highest percentage of Mexicans in the US at 50 percent and California ties Texas. Visit La to San Diego and their are neighborhoods that are 50 percent Mexican or better. Arizona has abour a 26 percent population.
