hi, I'm posting this thread to get some feedback for a calandar I'm putting together for my team...I'd like a variety of masters' comments on what •inspires or motivates you about swimming, or •what realizations or truths swimming has helped you see. I may use some of your quotes (with or without your name/usms forum user name, as you request) as a "thought for the day" idea. So please don't reply unless you don't mind being quoted! By the way, this is a not-for-profit team handbook project. I'll be very gratefull for any feedback you send. I thought other forum readers might enjoy the comments, too. Thanks! Lexa:)

Chris- Where is Homer? You're Niagra LMSC, right? I don't know the author of this one, but my son says it to me all of the time: "The pain is just the weakness leaving your body." Unless it is rotator cuff, of course.

Be a student of technique. Learn to feel your core rotation; big power there.

Here are some of my favorites, not necessarily on point, and not necessarily consistent: All that is necessary for the forces of evil to take over the Earth is for a few good men and women to do nothing. Age and treachery will defeat youth and skill. Suffering is optional. The moral is to the physical as three is to one. The greatest obstacle to regular exercise is not age, injury, shortage of time or money; it's boredom. Matt
