I'm a newbie when it comes to meets and I missed my heat for the 50 free lcm. Luckily, there was an opening and I got to swim 2 heats later. I was told to tell the timer my name when I got to the other end. I did. In the results posted today, it says NS. Where did my time go? Will it ever show up? I wanted it to be in my results. Is there anything I can do? TIA
Contact the meet organisers.
Your time is likely next to the name of the person who was *supposed* to be swimming in the heat/lane you swam in. The timekeepers may have forgotten to tell the results person that you swam instead, or the results person may have forgotten to make the appropriate change on their computer.
Your time was recorded for that lane & heat. If you look at the results when you contact the meet director , they will correct it for you. Did you have fun other than that?
Yes, I did enjoy it! However, what made me miss my heat was the 100 ***. I started too fast and halfway thru the 2nd 50, I ran out of energy and thought I was about to pass out! Even with that, I can't wait to do it again!
The one I thought was the meet director hasn't replied to my email.
Which meet did you swim at? Somebody here may know who to contact.
Nashville Aquatic Club Summer Solstice Meet. I contacted another person on the contact list and heard back from him.
My biggest concern is getting it on my list of event results. That's good to find out my time, but I want it in my list. I guess that's just what happens when you miss your heat?
