How does David Marsh get all these athletes to join his group, and then they get worse while training with him, while college boys and girls surpass them? How did he get appointed as womens coach for the US team?
Individuals can make such a difference in the trials. Each swimmer has his/her goals and drive to get there. A coach can only do so much. Phelps and bowman did not get along at the last olympics, yet he did well --I guess.

Swimmers have to place first or 2nd in the finals of their races, it's nearly impossible, only 26 men & 26 women can make team USA, also note some outstanding US swimmers who are dual citizens elected to NOT represent the US.
Marsh has helped many swimmers swim fast & will be Team USAs women's coach while you BraunBaby are a cowardly anonymous internet TROLL.

The MAC Elite group had access to so much, yet Marsh got outcoached by Bauerle, Reese, amongst others as his PROFESSIONALS were SCHOOLED by college boys and girls.

There were a number of professional swimmers who were "schooled" by college men and women, and they weren't all from SwimMac.

Marsh did great, 11 SwimMAC swimmers finaled and 6 made team USA. That's impressive, considering how hard it is to qualify for our OT.
Swimmers must get 2nd in individual events & top 6 in the 100 & 200 FR.
Of the 2016 U.S. Olympic roster published yesterday, six swimmers have ties to the club of SwimMAC Carolina.

Not on the Olympic roster, but having also made Trials finals for SwimMAC Elite were

for swimmers who missed and had good shots.
Some of the blame falls on swimmers and some of the blame falls on coaches. It just depends how each swimmer prepared for trials and performed at trials.
