    That’s a good thing since the judge ordered him to abstain from alcohol entirely during his 18 months of supervised probation, which runs through June 2016. That's because of the DUI, right? He's very lucky nothing more serious transpired, and that being said I think this touch of darkness could possibly make his future performances even more remarkable. Watching the interviews after his recent swims you can clearly see he's really enjoying swimming fast again, and that light hearted enjoyment could mark an even longer professional career. Why not if the money is still good, and you're having fun? Compared to other sports, where some of the true professionals are in their mid-40's still going hard, and why not if they are still experiencing true enjoyment. Could Phelps equal what many pro athletes do quite commonly, win a major world title in his 40's?
