I am getting close to my goal of 500 miles for this year at 68 1/2 years old.
Are you going to get to the goal you set last Jan. ?
I have lost 13 pounds along the way.I'm still too fat, but working on it!
Bobinator - I taught HS for 40 years! I know what goes on b4 Christmas break!! Lots of schools here in Illinois are starting to think of ending 1st semester at this break so "relearning" after two weeks is not needed & exams are finished at the point. What do you think?
I won't be getting anywhere near my modest 100-mile goal this year. I think I'm going to have to break down and see an orthopedic surgeon about my right shoulder.
On a positive note though, I've been recording my bike mileage on my FLOG this year. I should hit 5000 miles in the next few days. :)
Unlikely, but my WAG would be about 10:1... :D
Maybe even more. I hear about people going on 100 mile bike rides all the time, but not many are routinely swimming 10 miles per day!
i had no real goal
but today i hit 500miles
Make sure your order your swimsuit from Nike. The Minutes from the Fitness Committee from the National Convention stated that Nike will not be sponsoring GTD next year. Kyle Deery was, at the time, looking for a new sponsor for GTD. Not sure what the status is of that. Will have to wait until 2015 to find out unless Kyle can send a note to this Thread.
With that said. Thank you USMS and Nike for the swimsuits for the past few years. Its a long way to swim for a swimsuit, but I get bragging rights on my efforts, and on the swimsuit.....and swimcaps....and mesh bags.

Yeah, I was just trying to make my "feat" compare to those of you with 500-mile swim years. :)
