In preparation for Nationals, I was planning a full 3 week taper that would have started today. However, my back had other ideas and I have been dry all week. :badday: I am hoping to be able to swim tomorrow. My question is... do I continue on my regular planned schedule, or do I revise? How much training have I lost? Last good workout was last Friday. My focus events are the 100 and 200 Free.
Right now I'm thinking that I should swim hard next week, and taper the 10 days preceding Nationals. :dunno:
Where can I find a good tapering work out? I am 10 days out from a championship competition. My core strokes are in a 25m and 50 meters pool sprint free, fly and ***.
Hey, Leann! :welcome: Elaine Krugman, here. I'll see you in Maryland! I'm heading there after Worlds and some sightseeing in Quebec City.
Sorry I can't help you out with a taper workout, but I'm sure somebody here will come up with some good suggestions. As for me, I'll be swimming 400 IM, 200 fly, and 200 *** at Nationals rather than any sprints.
Good luck! :cheerleader:
Edit: Wait a minute... Nationals is more than 10 days out and you're not on the roster. Which championship are you going to?
