Just thought I would start a thread which didn't have deep philosophical overtones so that we all can have fun with the new forum software. Based upon personal experience, I will start a list of “You know you are a swimmer when …” with the following:
You know you are a swimmer when you leave work in the rain and you can smell the chlorine coming off of your hair.
Anyone care to add to the list?
You know you are a swimmer when you set up your start at the end of the pool that has the timeclock even though everyone else starts at the other end because it's closer to the whirlpool. Then when you swim outside where there is no timeclock, you wear your watch.

You know you are a swimmer when you still believe the old myth that chlorine turns your hair green!
You know you're a swimmer when you come home from swimming and your daughters ask you, "Dad, why is your hair green?" And, that's when I started wearing a cap.
You know you're a swimmer when...
You own enough suits (practice or racing) and goggles to keep the entire neighborhood in speedos.
Oh yeah and the only towels you own are beach towels.
Woohoo - keep swimming!
I forgot this one.
You know you are a swimmer when your 5 year old grandaughter tells everybody, ( at the mall, at the supermarket checkout, at family reunions) that she wants to swim like her grandma!!!!
Cogito, nay I know I am a swimmer because:
(1) I used to walk down long halls at work backwards practicing my backstroke arm
movements, only when no one was there. I now do it even when people are there.
(2) I use a Speedo lap counter to count the number
of trips I make around the company parking
lot on my twice a day exercise walks.
