You know you are a swimmer when ...

Just thought I would start a thread which didn't have deep philosophical overtones so that we all can have fun with the new forum software. Based upon personal experience, I will start a list of “You know you are a swimmer when …” with the following: You know you are a swimmer when you leave work in the rain and you can smell the chlorine coming off of your hair. Anyone care to add to the list?

  • You know you're a swimmer when...your car smells like the pool because you hang your towel on the passenger seat and you suit on the gear shift to dry them out. I find the "dry cleaning" hook in the passenger seat is far more effective than the gear shift... Which brings me to, you know your a swimmer when you show up at your night class and don't wonder why your bag and notebook are wet because of course it must have been sitting under your drippy wet bathing suit in the backseat all day. In other words, you never wonder why ANYTHING is ruined and wet. It's part of life.
