Just thought I would start a thread which didn't have deep philosophical overtones so that we all can have fun with the new forum software. Based upon personal experience, I will start a list of “You know you are a swimmer when …” with the following:
You know you are a swimmer when you leave work in the rain and you can smell the chlorine coming off of your hair.
Anyone care to add to the list?
You know you're a swimmer when
...you come back with wet hair and your students say, "Did you go swimming again?"
... you get excited looking at meet sheets and meet programs
... you meet the man you'd marry at the pool!
... your Labrador Retriever can swim 100m in 1:37.
... you don't need to look at a thermometer to know the exact temperature of the pool.
... for Christmas you ask for a pool pass.
... you don't need makeup because you're face is already colored with raccoon eyes and racing stripes (goggle straps); lest we forget the racing stripes on our feet from flip flops!
... you can't think of anything else to do in a pool besides workout.
... you can talk about the *** without being embarrassed.
... everything in life tells us to move East, but we can't leave Kerry O'Brien!
