You know you are a swimmer when ...

Just thought I would start a thread which didn't have deep philosophical overtones so that we all can have fun with the new forum software. Based upon personal experience, I will start a list of “You know you are a swimmer when …” with the following: You know you are a swimmer when you leave work in the rain and you can smell the chlorine coming off of your hair. Anyone care to add to the list?

  • You know you are a swimmer when... ...someone tells you that smething is 25 yards away and you picture a swimming pool as a measurement. ...you are pregnant, not gaining enough weight so the doctor puts time limits on your swimming and you bargain with her and your family "I'll eat a piece of cheesecake if I can go swim for 30 min" ... the first question you ask your doctor is "can I go back to my normal swim routine?" at each visit.
