Just thought I would start a thread which didn't have deep philosophical overtones so that we all can have fun with the new forum software. Based upon personal experience, I will start a list of “You know you are a swimmer when …” with the following:
You know you are a swimmer when you leave work in the rain and you can smell the chlorine coming off of your hair.
Anyone care to add to the list?

Wayne(breastorker), I'm still mad at the 1976 olympics because our women were cheated. And I knew Leia F from Lakewood swim club who began like me as a novice swimmer in 1969 in LA County. She made it as the three person in the 100 meter butterfly on the olympic team. And I also knew Shirley Babashoff because I was on Huntington Beach-Phillips 66 from the summer of 1971 to summer of 1973 before Shirley Babashoff went over to Mission Viejo. Shirley could have won more gold medals rather than silver at the 1976 olympics if the Germans didn't cheat and she could have made a lot more money after she left the sport. I also was made at 1988 and 1932 and there probably is still drugs being use by indivdiual swimmers not as much as a government program. I don't blame the swimmers from Germany or China because they lived or live in authorian societies that put pressure on them to take steriods.
