In a nutshell, it is suggested there was a current in the pool that gave some lanes an unfair advantage in the 50s. Maybe some end lanes are not so bad after all ;)

Nah, nothing so sophisticated. Just put a rubber ducky at the end of each lane and see where it goes. ;)
Or just eliminate 50s :bolt:
