In both your back and free, I think a nice tight streamline off the start and turn will really help you. Your arms look quite bent. Squeeze your ears! I also agree that more rotation (for a better catch) in your back could help. Good for you for doing your first meet in a long time!
Thanks to everyone that looked at my videos and shot me ideas on what to improve on.
Last night was my first night back in the pool after a week off and an Alumni basketball game on Saturday (that I'm still sore from)!
I felt surprisingly strong after being out of the pool for a week and even more so considering how tight and sore I was from playing basketball! I really focused on my 25 repeats and trying to roll my shoulders more and really catch the water. What amazed me was that I was able to easily turn in 15 second repeats and not feel like I was trying hard! I felt a lot more efficient in the water and got to the point where 80% of the time I was taking 1 breath.
My breastroke is another problem all together. I'm trying to get away from the "flat" stroke and to a more modern version. I feel really slow right now but I do feel like my stroke is looking better and more conventional. It will just take time to learn it all over again.
Thanks again for everyone's input!
