I guess I'm going to have to do something different to be able to take a shot at the 85-89 year old FINA records ;)
Personally, I like this calculator a lot better -- more robust and more linked to lifestyle -- apps.bluezones.com/.../.
According to Jayhawk's calculator, I should live another 27.5 years.
According to pwb's calculator, I should already be dead.
I prefer Jayhawk's method!
Sorry, Swimosaur! :bighug: It's reversed for me. According to the government, I'll live until 84.8. But, according to their calculator that is LACKING, so will a non-exercising, overweight, fast food-eating, alcoholic, smoking insomniac that happened to be born on the same day! :bitching:
I like pwb's calculator that says my biological age is 43.9, even though I am almost 51. And, it says I will live to be 95.6; long enough to break Ann Dunivin's swim records! :bliss:
According to pbw's calculator I will lose my health in 68 days but live another 22 years. So I've got that going for me!
Rich, none of these calculators are good with outliers!

I'm surprised they didn't ask about resting HR in the lifestyles survey; or ask for some indication about the intensity of the physical activity; there's a huge difference between 60 minutes a day of mild housework and 60 minutes of swimming or running. Either way, I felt pretty good about the fact that my "biological" age came up 7 years less than my chronological age... but I think my biological age is probably even younger than that! ;)
Love pwb's calculator. I'd like to now swim in the 18-25 age group according to my body's age :)
And then I just need to improve my lifestyle a little bit and I can look at those 95-99 World records. But I guess once I turn 77, I get diabetes, cancer and heart diseases.....
Wow, pwb's calculator makes me think I'd better take a better look at my retirement plans - 97.5! However, based on family history, I think it's probably accurate than the Social Security one (84.7). My family doesn't always have the best health but we do tend to live a long time. I think it's because we're so stubborn. :D
Just keep swimming...
