  • The pool at Sanibel Rec Center is great. You can get weekly/monthly passes and that includes tennis, b-ball gym, weight and cardio room, classes, etc. One thing I could never figure is that they close the pool whenever the air temperature drops below 60 degrees. Some mornings I'd get there when they open, and have to wait an hour or so for the temperature to climb out of the upper fifties for the all-OK. Meanwhile steam coming off the still and lonely pool... Yeah, I don't get that either. I heard the noodler instructor make that announcement and I was baffled. Perhaps the lifeguards won't sit out there if the temp. drops below 60. :D I have had three workouts there, now, and it has been great. Today, there were 32 ( :afraid: ) noodlers in the pool and I didn't hear one of them complain about me "splashing" in the swim lane! Nor, did I get kicked out during their class. :D How was St. George's? I hope you two had a great time! Please wish her my best; she filled me in on the details. :bighug:
