  • OMG. This is my Swimming Australia district website: home.vicnet.net.au/.../ . I am so tempted to email and offer to take over as webmaster... In comparison, the Masters Swimming Victoria website looks positively good.

Well, that "Geocitiesizer" is hilarious. Take a look at the USMS web site - here are two versions. Make sure you have your sound turned up... Version 1 Version 2
  • I have only been swimming with USMS for four years so.... 1) when the did the logo change, why, and who; 2) can USMS bring back the Virtual Swim Series? I like that. I see the reference on the USMS website; I joined a Swim Fit program at one of my workout pools last year. Earlier this month I received a certificate from the Swim Fit program for swimming 1,100 miles since I began their program. I'll have to post a copy of the certificate on my USMS blog.

So much fun to look back on that stuff. Great post. How about a Way-Back-Machine for SWIMMER Magazine? The archive only goes to 2005? How long have they been publishing it. www.usmsswimmer.com/issue.php I'd like to have entire collection of SWIMMER. I sent off my entire collection of Swimmer magazine to the main offices down in Florida. Contact them for more information and maybe someone will be able to get a grant to transfer them all to this website.

Bummed your LMSC is too with it to make this list? Have no fear - the Geocitiesizer can help. You're welcome, Pacific NW! :bolt: Awesome. I even got an error loading it. I vote for http://www.akmswim.org/. I'm going to need medication to get over that one. First runner up goes to http://www.akmswim.org/. Honorable mention for www.arkansasmasters.org/
  • This is the logo on SwimMaster in 1982, the year of the first USMS Nats (previously held under AAU)

I have only been swimming with USMS for four years so.... 1) when the did the logo change, why, and who; I believe the current logo was introduced in 2009. The previous logo had been in use for at least 20 years. I may have documents at work that go farther back, but here is an example of it used on the cover sheet of the 1988 Short Course Nationals results. I think the logo before that (mid-1980's) looked something like this: 3656 The USMS History & Archives committee would have more definitive information.
